Yupekchi HQ
Weaving the Threads of Turkmen Heritage and Modern Innovation.
Nestled on the edge of the Karakum Desert in the historic city of Mary, the new Yupekchi Headquarters stands as a harmonious blend of timeless architectural heritage and a testament to the enduring legacy of the Silk Road, integrated with cutting-edge sustainable design.
The very name "Yupekchi," derived from the Turkmen word for silk, pays homage to the region's deep-rooted tradition of sericulture, a craft that has thrived in these lands since ancient times.
Inspired by the architectural marvels that have graced the oasis cities along the Silk Road, the Yupekchi HQ blends modern design with the timeless elegance of Turkmen cultural heritage.
Within, the office spaces are thoughtfully curated to foster a dynamic, collaborative work environment that supports Yupekchi’s commitment to excellence. Flexible floor plans, strategically placed breakout areas, and a central atrium with lush vegetation cultivate a sense of openness and connectivity, while also providing acoustic privacy and visual interest.
Designed to address the unique environmental challenges of the desert climate, the building features engineered ventilated façade system that helps regulate the interior temperature and reduce energy consumption.
The building’s façades draw inspiration from the intricate patterns and defensive architectural elements of the nearby ancient fortress of Gyz Gala, an iconic representation of the area’s rich architectural heritage.
